On September 24th, Beijing time, the Chinese Basketball Association issued a statement, adding Zhao Lvzhou into the three-man basketball men’s national team training, and he will not participate in the CBA in the new season.
The original statement is as follows:
" Basketball Sports Management Center of Jiangsu Sports Bureau:
On August 24, the Chinese Basketball Association issued the "Letter of the Chinese Basketball Association on Inviting Athlete Zhao Luzhou to Participate in the Short-term Trial Training of the Three-member National Basketball Team" (Basketball Association (2020) No. 300). During the trial training, Zhao Suzhou showed good professionalism, understood the rules of three-person basketball and quickly integrated into the team, and played steadily in the two warm-up matches of the national training team.
Recently, the three-person basketball department of our association asked your center to communicate and coordinate with the Kendia Club for many times. Now all parties have agreed that Zhao Lvzhou will not participate in the new season CBA league and will devote himself to the three-person basketball national team training. Zhao Lvzhou is now officially added to the three-man basketball national men's training team. The training time is tentatively scheduled from now until the end of the Tokyo Olympics. During the period, the cost of transportation, board and lodging, and medical insurance for injuries and illnesses will be borne by the Chinese Basketball Association.
Thanks to your center and related parties for their strong support to the preparation of the three-person basketball team for the Olympics! "
Zhao Suzhou played for the Jiangsu team last season and averaged 5.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 16.7 minutes per game.
